New Belgium White IPA

This winter, IBUs start accumulating like snow in Colorado with our new Accumulation White IPA. Brewing a white IPA was not only a way to salute the white beauty falling from the sky, but a direct revolt to the longstanding tradition of brewing dark beers for winter and winter seasonal beers. At least that’s what our rebellious brewers like to claim as they shovel in plenty of mosaic and Amarillo hop varietals and a bit of wheat for a smooth mouthfeel. Stack up a few cases of Accumulation White IPA to keep your long nights glowing blizzard white.

From the Brewer – “Strong hop aroma that displays all of our hop varieties: tropical fruits, bright citrus, spicy/herbal from the heavy dry hopping. This beer is a hoppy wonderland. Big and bitter, just what this IPA ordered. Sweetness just barely dents its IBU armor. Nevertheless the addition of wheat really smooths out the rough bitter edge.

Hops: Nugget, Centennial, dry hopped with Mosaic and Amarillo
Hop Bitterness (IBU’s): 55
Alcohol by volume: 6.2%
Format: 6 Packs

Harpoon The Long Thaw White IPA

Harpoon-The-Long-Thaw-White-IPA“Spring” in New England is a fickle friend. So we brewed a beer that could carry us through the January cold while hinting at warmer days ahead. With notes of orange peel and coriander, the soft mouthfeel of a Belgian wit, and an intense hop profile, The Long Thaw White IPA combines the warming backbone of an IPA with citrus notes indicative of the coming spring. “Spring” in New England may be indecisive, but we can help make one decision a little easier.

From the Brewer – “The Long Thaw White IPA style blends the spiciness of a Belgian Wit and the American hop character of an IPA.

  • Appearance:  light-colored, hazy, thick white head
  • Aroma:  very citrusy, floral, and spicy from the ground coriander
  • Mouth feel: soft mouth feel with a clean finish.  Light to medium bodied.
  • Taste:  Medium bitterness, fruit and citrus flavors from the hops and orange peel, and spicy from the coriander.  A little bready / biscuity malt and wheat character.
  • Finish:  fruity, spicy, a little bitter, but clean and refreshing.

Great with Pepper cheese, pork, curry dishes.

Hop Bitterness (IBU’s): 45
Alcohol by volume: 6.2%
Format: 6 Packs
Seasonality: Winter

Otter Creek Fresh Slice White IPA

Otter-Creek-Fresh-Slice-White-IPAWhat’s up with all these floaties, man?

An unfiltered brew, we made this one with some extra pulp to give it that straight-from-the-kettle experience that our brewers enjoy.

While we understand this unfiltered look might not be appealing to everyone, we believe that leaving our beers unfiltered allows us to create offerings that are true-to-style and full of flavor.

If you prefer a clearer option, consider decanting into a glass —as you would wine or a Belgian Trappist Ale— and leaving the sediment behind. Either way, we hope you’ll raise a glass with us and enjoy the full flavor of the fruits of our brewers’ labor.

From the Brewer – “A summer sipper built for lawn chairs, lawn games and lawn mowing,Fresh Slice features the spicy, estery flavor profile of Belgian yeast laced with the juicy hop flavors and aromas of American hops.

This White IPA recipe tips the scales with a slice of clementine, a hit of coriander and an 1/8th of…wait, what? This one features a crisp, fresh citrus ripeness deriving from additions of clementine juice and sweet orange peel in the brew process. The first Otter Creek can offering, this is one slice you’ll be holding all summer long!”

Harpoon 100 Barrel Series White IPA

From the Brewer – “Ken Hermann has taken our exploration of – and adoration for – the IPA style in a completely new direction. With notes of orange peel and coriander, the soft mouthfeel reminiscent of a Belgian wit, and the hop additions of Simcoe, Citra, and Cascade, he strikes a delicate balance between two disparate styles while showcasing the characteristics of both. It’s a refreshing take on a new style, and we hope you enjoy it! Cheers.

Hop Bitterness (IBU’s): 45
Alcohol by volume: 6.2%
