Brooklyn 1/2 Ale

Brooklyn-half-AleFrom the Brewer – “Brooklyn Brewery 1/2 Ale hearks back to traditional farmhouse ales, which used to quench the thirst of farmhands and other laborers on hot sunny days. These saisons were complex yet clean, low in alcohol and high in refreshment.

Brooklyn Half Ale is an unfiltered, clean, and balanced saison, with a hazy, pale yellow pour. It packs a symphony of citrusy hops over a gentle malt base that clocks in at a pleasantly restrained 3.4% ABV.”

Food Pairings: Try it alongside fish, salads, fresh cheese and light pastries, or just keep it on hand for the end of a long day. After all, it only tastes like a big beer.

Hops: Perle, Simcoe, Amarillo, Sorachi Ace
Malts: Weyermann Pilsner, Weyemann Dark Munich
Alcohol by volume: 3.4%
Format: 6 Packs
Seasonality: Year Round

Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale

Tank-7-Farmhouse-AleFrom the Brewer – “Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickety. Here at Boulevard we have fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were experimenting with variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, the flavor of this complex, straw-colored ale tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.

Great with Herb-roasted chicken, Pork, Taleggio cheese.

Hops: Magnum, Bravo, Amarillo
Malts: Pale Malt, Malted Wheat
Hop Bitterness (IBU’s): 38
Alcohol by volume: 8.5%

Colette Farmhouse Ale

Colette-Farmhouse-AleFrom the Brewer – “COLETTE is our homage to the saisons that Belgian farm workers have enjoyed for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, COLETTE is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats — a beer as refreshing as it is complex.

Great with charcuterie plate (country sausage & sauerkraut), foie gras, Indian curry, Camembert cheese.

Allagash Fluxus: French-Style Farmhouse Ale

From the Brewer – “This year’s Fluxus was brewed with Belgian Pilsen malt, light Munich, malted wheat and a variety of aromatic and colored malts. It was hopped using only Alsatian Brewers Gold . It was then fermented with our house yeast at a lower than typical temperature, resulting in a more subdued ester profile than expressed in our other house yeast beers. Primary fermentation was followed by a cold maturation or “garding” period of six weeks.

The resulting beer is a medium amber-colored ale with a smooth lager quality. The aroma presents a complex earthiness and toasted grains, balanced by a fruity candied grape character. The full body highlights a rounded maltiness accentuated by both nutty notes, and spicy hop flavors. The finish is remarkably dry with a wine-like character and light tannins.”

Alcohol by volume: 8%
Format: 750 ml bottle
Seasonality: Summer, Limited Annual Release
