Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale

Kentucky-Bourbon-Barrel-AleFrom the Brewer – “Award winning Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale® is a unique sipping beer with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted bourbon. Our Kentucky Ale is aged for at least six weeks in freshly decanted bourbon barrels from some of Kentucky’s finest distilleries.

Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrels. Pleasantly smooth and robust, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale may also be served as an aperitif or after dinner drink.”

Long Trail Imperial Pumpkin

Long-Trail-Imperial-PumpkinBrush and Barrel Series: The Brush and Barrel Series is Long Trail’s newest line of limited release ales. Each brew is specially crafted by Long Trail’s Brewmaster and brewed in small batches that reflect a variety of styles. We have partnered with local artists who’s work will be featured on Brush and Barrel bottle labels and packaging. In turn, our brewers will be brewing the featured beer with the artist who created the beautiful imagery for the packaging.

Our goal is for artists and brewers to draw creative inspiration from one another and further push the boundaries of their respective art forms. In the process, we are able to showcase some very talented artists and highlight the degree of artisanship that goes into crafting these unique ales. Each Brush and Barrel release will include a neck hanger that provides a description of the beer and a bio of the featured artist. Additionally, a limited number of signed (by both artist and brewmaster) posters will be included inside custom Brush and Barrel presentation tubes. Custom glassware that highlights the aromas and colors of these artisanal brews will also be available.

From the Brewer – “Long Trail Imperial Pumpkin Ale is the first offering in Long Trail’s new Brush and Barrel Series. This limited release seasonal treat is small batch brewed with pumpkins, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves, with increased malts and a touch of bitterness for the perfect balance.”

Lake Placid Brewing Ubu Ale

Lake-Placid-Brewing-Ubu-AleAs the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery grew in popularity, the demand for the beers we produced increased exponentially. In November of 2001, the LPP&B expanded to a second brewing facility in Plattsburgh NY. Located on Military Turnpike and known as The Lake Placid Craft Brewing Company the new facility quadrupled our brewing capacity and allowed us to bottle our beers for the first time. The 13,000 sq. ft. facility was located just 50 miles northeast of Lake Placid and had a 15-barrel brewery and bottling system as well as a tasting area and gift shop. Even after the brewery installed three new 60bl fermentation tanks in 2009, we were still unable to brew enough beer to satisfy demand. In January of 2010 we closed this brewery and are now brewing all bottled beer at FX Matt Brewing in Utica, NY. This partnership has allowed us to expand both our product line and the areas where our beer is available.

From the Brewer – “Our famous English-style Strong Ale is deep garnet red in color, and features dark fruit and roasted malt flavors, with a slightly bitter finish.

Hop Bitterness (IBU’s): 38
Alcohol by volume: 7%
