Lagunitas Undercover Investigation Shut-down Ale

Lagunitas-Undercover-Investigation-Shut-down-AleFrom the Brewer – “We brewed this especially bitter ale in remembrance of the 2005 St Patrick’s Day Massacre and in commemoration of our 20-day suspension that followed. The ABC conducted an undercover investigation of our brewery, finding us guilty of operating a “Disorderly House.” We did the crime. We did the time. We got the bragging rights.

Lagunitas Wilco Tango Foxtrot

Lagunitas-Wilco-Tango-FoxtrotWTF Ale. A malty, robust, jobless Recovery Ale! We’re not quite in the Red, or in the Black… Does that mean we’re in the Brown? A big Ol’ Imperial Brown Ale to help you with your slippery slide on into springtime. Rich, smooth, dangerous & chocolatey.

From the Brewer – “We planned to release the 2010 Recovery Ale as a follow-up to our 2009 Correction Ale, but we weren’t quite recovering….WTF!  So we tried to label it the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot to abide by Army call-letters, but we were told that we couldn’t use the word ‘Whiskey’ on a beer label…WTF!

Original Gravity: 1.072º Plato
Hop Bitterness (IBU’s): 64.2

Long Trail Triple Bag Ale

From the Brewer – “Triple Bag is brewed in a small batch from single infusion that uses only the first runnings of the mash. The result is a brew made from only the purest part of the grains, providing a uniquely rich and dense flavor, with an aroma reminiscent of the finest dessert wines. This brew is naturally carbonated and is an example of brewing purity that is rarely experienced by those other than brewers themselves.”

Style History: Strong Ales are cousins to Altbiers, both of which trace their origins back to Düsseldorf, Germany.
