Harpoon Leviathan Quad

From the Brewer – “Yeasts.  A mixture of two-row pale malts, caramel malts, and special aromatic malts gives the Quad its richness and texture. The subtle hop flavor imparted from Brewer’s Gold hops lingers in the background and provides just enough bitterness to balance the malt sweetness.  The addition of imported Belgian Dark Candi Syrup rounds out the beer, giving the Quad its full body and deep auburn color.  Expect notes of honeyed dry fruit with peppery phenols in the aroma, a velvet-like mouthfeel, and a superbly drinkable beer.”

Hop Bitterness (IBU’s): 44
Alcohol by volume: 11.75%

Corsendonk Christmas Ale

Corsendonk Christmas Ale is brewed every year during the holiday season and is available from November until the end of February. For this reddish-brown Christmas beer, the Corsendonk brewer uses roasted special malts, the finest hops and selected yeasts, spiced up with a touch of coriander. With its delicate malty nose, Corsendonk Christmas Ale has everything what only the very best Christmas beer could possibly offer: a round, balanced taste with a dry and refined aftertaste.

From the Brewer – “On the palate this silky smooth ale is predominantly malty, with smoky, spicy and citrusy notes, and a long, lingering finish that is lightly tart and malty.”

Great with barbecue cuisine. Sharp, blue, cheddar, pungent, gorgonzola, Limburger cheeses. Grilled Meat & Beef.

Alcohol by volume: 8.1%
Format: 6 packs, 750 ml bottle
Seasonality: November to February

Flying Fish Grand Cru Winter Reserve

From the Brewer – “This Belgian-style strong golden ale showcases a variety of the ingredients and brewing methods that help differentiate Flying Fish beers. The Grand Cru is fermented at a higher temperature than our other beers adding an undercurrent of fruitiness and clove (although there is no fruit or spice in the beer). Very lightly filtered, the Grand Cru exhibits complex mouthfeel, strong malt flavors, a spicy hop presence and a soothing alcohol warmth, followed by a clean, dry finish. It is excellent with food as well as served by itself.”

Pairs well with richer dishes like, meats, cheeses, stews, smoked foods, or as an after-dinner drink.
